Every time our website is accessed, usage data is transmitted by your internet browser and stored in log files (server log files). This data includes, for example, the name of the page accessed, date and time of access, IP address, amount of data transferred and requesting provider.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security and stability of the website).

2. Contacting us

If you contact us via contact form or email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, message) in order to handle your enquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures/contract) and/or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (general communication). If you explicitly give your consent, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

4. Cookies, consent and tracking

Our website uses cookies and, where applicable, similar technologies.

  • Technically necessary cookies may be used to provide basic functions of the website.
  • Analytics/marketing technologies (e.g. Google Analytics) are only used if there is a legal basis for this.

Note: We currently do not use a consent tool/cookie banner. Services that require consent (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Maps) should therefore not be loaded automatically, but only after corresponding consent or via a technical solution (e.g. click-to-load).

You can manage and delete cookies via your browser settings.

Legal basis for technically necessary cookies: Section 25 (2) TTDSG as well as Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional website).

5. Google Tag Manager (GTM)

We use Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Tag Manager is used to manage website tags and generally does not create user profiles itself and does not store cookies. However, it may process technical data (including IP address) that is required for the delivery of the tags.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the efficient management of website tags). If tags are only loaded via GTM after consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR is additionally relevant.

6. Web analytics – Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to analyse the use of our website and to create reports.

In doing so, the following data may be processed, among others: online identifiers (e.g. cookie/device IDs), IP address (shortened), device/browser information, usage data (page views, interactions), referrer URL.

It cannot be ruled out that data will be transferred to third countries (e.g. the USA).

Legal basis: If Google Analytics sets cookies/similar technologies, this is done on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TTDSG). Without consent, Google Analytics should not be used.

Recommendation for technical implementation: To protect your privacy, map content should only be loaded after a click ("click-to-load") or after consent.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent), provided that Google Maps is only loaded after consent. Depending on the technical integration, cookies/similar technologies may be used (Section 25 TTDSG).
